What is Competent?

The Competent app addresses the challenges faced by people when creating a CV with limited qualifications or professional experience, focusing on competencies and soft skills. Competent uses a simple process where a validator, often an educator or youth worker, helps to enhance an individual’s selection of competencies. The result is a more effective and original competency profile, validated by a reference figure who has direct knowledge of the individual. This enhances the CV’s credibility and boosts employability prospects.

Who is it for?

Competent is an innovative tool aimed at boosting work and development opportunities for young people. The Competent app and validation process are designed for educators and youth workers working in employability training and programmes. The guided assessment and validation of an individual’s competencies also provide opportunities for empowering users towards wider goals and personal growth.

How was Competent made?
